We are disappointed to cancel a planned trip for January 2020, however we are still at work in Haiti. Our gardens have produced many peanuts and our farmers have received coffee, cocoa, benzolive, mango and many other types of productive plants from our nurseries. Do you know GDAC has 20 groups on 20 localities? Each group has 60 to 70 people as members. We are touching lots of people!!

Plants in our nurseries which will be used for the community gardens and for distribution to our member farmers.

We celebrated the graduation of a third veterinary agent, Marc, from the Ag Horizon School in Deschapelles, Haiti. We are sponsoring a fourth student, Jacnère, who started at the Ag Horizon school in May.

Marc is kneeling in the front row, you can see his red tie if you look closely!
Our regular mobile clinics continue with our agents visiting different localities within our 74 km square region. The biggest problem we have now is transportation of people and medications to the mobile clinics and transport of agents to emergencies. So our new goal is to save enough money to buy a new SUV to help with this problem. This is a large goal for our small group!!

Our goats are still a wonderful part of this project as well. This year we are in the process of building 10 new goat shelters for families who received goats. Goat shelters require good solid wood which is expensive in Haiti and transportation of the supplies to some of the more remote farms is challenging. (Another place where that SUV would come in very handy!!).
We are hoping to complete another visit in March this year if things settle down politically. Get ready for a fund raiser in February!! We wish you a happy New Year and please continue to pray for Haiti.
